This scripture gives me great comfort that God is very much aware and takes great care in the life that he has planned for us.
Psalm 139:13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mothers womb.14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

Updates

On Wednesday we took Kiya to her Neurosurgeon due to some concern that her head is not growing adequately. We had a cat-scan done that morning to make sure she was not having shunt failure, split ventricle syndrome, or any other issues. I am always nervous when I have to have to visit neurosurgery for any reason and this appointment was no different. The good news is that Kiyas ventricles are smaller indicating that the brain has filled in the extra space. The brain is also thickening as we hoped it would. Unfortunately the concern over her head growth was valid and her doctor began discussing options with us. Right now the plan is to wait two months and do a new CT scan and take new head measurements to see if there has been any growth. I need your prayers! If her head has not grown, or is falling further on the charts Kiya will have to undergo a six hour surgery to reshape her scull. The surgery is complex requiring neurosurgery, plastic surgery and maxo-facial surgery specialties. It is 5-6 days in the hospital, new scars, new worries, time away from home, recovery and resets the clock for infection. Needless to say Matt and I are devastated at this news and want to avoid brain surgery and asking our sweet daughter to endure one more trial. Please keep Kiya in your prayers and fasting. We will continue to hope, pray and love our sweet daughter.
Thanks

Oh What Fun

Masons birthday was so much fun. We ended up having two parties so that my mom could watch Kiya while we took Mason to the aquarium. On our way to the aquarium Mason decided
that he would rather go sledding so off to grandmas house we went. Friday night we had a party at our house and we had a great time. Grandma B catered the event so it was a breeze for me. Saturday we went sledding and watching Wipe Out. Mason finds other peoples clumsiness as amusing as me.
